With commissioning works currently in progress at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) distribution station built by KN (AB Klaipėdos nafta), a second LNG truck was accepted today for loading. LNG truck loading operations are in compliance with the highest fire fighting and work safety standards.

KN (AB Klaipėdos Nafta), an operator of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals has completed an international procurement procedure for the supply of liquefied natural gas for commissioning the LNG infrastructure by concluding a contract with the winning tenderer Shell Western LNG B.V. (Shell), a part of a multinational energy and petrochemical group.

The Blue Baltics project coordinated by KN (Klaipėdos Nafta, AB), an operator of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, has won an award in the Infrastructure category at the Baltic Sea Forum (BSF) Awards in Berlin. The project that forms a basis otion of use of clean fuel has received recognition due to its positive impact on the environment.

On 14 March, the 'Blue Baltics' project partners met for the first time in Klaipėda and discussed the infrastructure synchronisation of the Baltic Sea Region liquefied natural gas (LNG), perspectives, project progress. The European Coordinator for the Motorways of the Sea (MoS) Brian Simpson attended the meeting and introduced the financial possibilities for the transport sector in the framework MoS programme.

On 13 March, at around 9 p.m., the first out of three LNG tanks shipped to the Port of Klaipėda from the Czech Republic will start moving to the territory of oil terminal of Klaipėdos Nafta, AB (KN) where the liquefied natural gas (LNG) reloading station is being built. The LNG tank will be transported from the port to the construction site over a night, therefore, residents of the city will most probably experience no inconveniences.

Three of five LNG storage tanks designed for an LNG reloading station at the port of Klaipėda have been shipped from Chart Ferox, a.s., the Czech manufacturer of LNG tanks. The project of the LNG reloading station is implemented by the operator of oil products and liquefied natural gas terminals KN (AB Klaipėdos Nafta).
